Job Description | 1. To quantify the nitrogen-fixing bacteria, as indicated by the absolute abundance of the nifH gene fragments using quantitative PCR (qPCR).
2. To characterize the soil bacterial and fungal community compositions and diversity, as indicated by the identities and relative abundance of the 16S rRNA regions and Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) gene fragments and Next-generation Sequencing. 3. To characterize the community structure (including the spontaneous plant colonizers and later-successional species). 4. To characterize the soil properties in the study sites. 5. To score the growth performance of the bamboo stands introduced to the post-mining lands. |
