Entry Requirement | The entry requirements for a Master's program are as follows:
1. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant social sciences field, such as Anthropology, Sociology, Ethnic Studies, Social Work, Public Health, Cultural Studies, or other related disciplines. 2. A minimum CGPA (e.g., 3.0/4.0) or its equivalent, as per the university's standards. 3. Proficiency in both English and Malay languages. 4. Prior experience in related research or fieldwork, particularly in cultural or social studies, is considered an advantage.

Job Description | Job Description for Master's Research: Position: Master's Research Student
Research Focus: Elderly care in Malaysia, ethnographic study, cultural heritage, and continuity theory
Research Methodology: Qualitative
Key Responsibilities: 1. Literature Review: - Conduct an in-depth review of existing literature on elderly care, cultural heritage, and continuity theory.
2. Fieldwork and Data Collection: - Engage in ethnographic research methods, such as participant observation, interviews, and focus group discussions. - Develop rapport with elderly participants, caregivers, and community members to collect culturally sensitive and meaningful data.
3. Data Analysis: - Transcribe, organize, and analyze qualitative data using thematic or grounded theory approaches. - Apply continuity theory to interpret findings in the context of cultural heritage and quality of life.
4. Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with supervisors, research teams, and community stakeholders to ensure research accuracy and cultural relevance. - Present findings in meetings and participate in academic discussions.
5. Report Writing: - Document research processes and findings in detailed reports. - Write a thesis in alignment with university requirements, focusing on the study's objectives and outcomes.
6. Ethical Compliance: - Ensure all research activities adhere to ethical guidelines, including obtaining informed consent and maintaining confidentiality.
7. Project Management: - Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables efficiently throughout the research process.
Preferred Skills and Competencies: - Strong understanding of qualitative research methods and ethnography - Proficiency in English and Malay for effective communication and data collection. - Cultural sensitivity and the ability to engage meaningfully with elderly participants. - Organizational and analytical skills to manage data and derive insights.
