Job Description | Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based task-oriented semantic communications, which focuses on transmissions of the semantic content of source data, show much promises. By only transmitting the semantic content of the source message as required at the receiver, the amount of data required to be transferred over the channel becomes substantially reduced, compared to conventional data transmissions. This project aims to develop an artificial intelligence-based resource allocation scheme for task-oriented semantic communication systems, which is channel-aware and capable of guaranteeing high degrees of semantic transmission and energy efficiencies.
