Project Title: Design of a New Deep Learning Denoising Algorithm for Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CEST MRI) for Brain Cancer Diagnosis

Appointment Duration: 1 year

Stipend: RM 3,000 per month (Full Tuition Fee Scholarship for candidate with CGPA: 3.5000 and above T&C applies;)
Education Level: First Class Undergraduate Degree or Master Degree Holder
Specific Skills / Knowledge Required: Machine learning, Python/Matlab, familiar with Linux Operating System
Job Description:
  1. This project aims to design a new deep learning denoising algorithm based on a convolutional neural network model to improve the quality of Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer magnetic resonance imaging (CEST MRI) images to further the development of CEST MRI as a clinical tool that can benefit patients and become the gold standard for cancer imaging. The successful candidate has to register for a Phd by Research at UTAR and will be paid a monthly stipend of RM 3000 in the first year and renewable in the second and third year, depending on the performance. The candidate needs to spend time at UTAR and UKM.
