Project Title: Integration of weak-resonant cavity Fabry-Perot laser diode in acoustic sensing based on laser dynamics behavior

Stipend: RM2,200.00 per month (Full Tuition Fee Scholarship for candidate with CGPA: 3.5000 and above T&C applies;)

Specific Skills / Knowledge Required: Basic optics and electronics circuits knowledge
Job Description:
  1. Develop and fabricate a WRC-FPLD which able to integrate with SMF to create an unstable fiber laser that sensitive to acoustic waves,
  2. Study the characteristic of the fiber laser under WRC-FPLD modulation, loss modulation and acoustic modulation for frequency range between 100 Hz to 100 kHz, and
  3. Optimize the fiber laser for acoustic modulation to achieve minimum noise and high signal to noise ratio for water leakage detection.
