Research Interests
Preparation and characterization of nanomaterials and nanostructures and their applications in energy, photocatalyst, sensing

I am interested in nanomaterials of a wide variety of substances (metals, ceramics, semiconductors, and polymers) in a wide range of form (mesoporous, particle, thin film, wire, tube, rod, template, core-shell, alloy, and composite) prepared via a number of different routes (electrochemical deposition, chemical vapor deposition, sol-gel, hydrothermal, solvothermal, etc.) for potential applications in solar cells, supercapacitor, photocatalytic water splitting, sensors, photocatalysts, etc.

  • Prof. Lu Shih-Yuan and Dr. Tsai De-Hao from Department of Chemical Engineering, National Tsing Hua University were introduced to the Department of Chemical Engineering, UTAR. Both parties had better understanding on research. NTHU will continue to partially sponsor our Chemical Engineering students to undergo internship at NTHU. Dr. Leong will follow up with Dr. Tsai on Dual Degree Programme.
