  • Prof Prabha mediated the collaboration between the Western Social Science Association (WSSA)/The Social Science Journal (ISI Indexed) with FAS. FAS is co-organising the International Conference on Behavioral and Social Science Research (2nd ICBSSR 2014) with WSSA and SSJ in August 2014.

  • Prof Prabha has confirmed his attendance to the International Conference on Behavioral and Social Science Research (2nd ICBSSR 2014) with WSSA and SSJ in August 2014.
  • Prof Prabha has agreed to conduct a pre-conference workshop on "Writing academic papers for publication in ISI indexed journals" on 5th August in UTAR, Perak Campus for participants of the International Conference on Behavioral and Social Science Research (2nd ICBSSR 2014). This workshop is also open to non-conference participants at a small fee.
  • Prof Prabha has verbally agreed to be appointed as the External Examiner for PhD (Social Science) - offered by FAS - dissertation on Social Deviance. And to introduce us to his friend from another university to be the second External Examiner.
  • We are discussing with him to initiate a proposal for FRGS application

  • Prof Prabha was appointed as the External Examiner for a PhD Thesis (Student: Mr Lim Soo Jin) to mark his dissertation in December 2014.
  • Prof Prabha has been appointed as the External Examiner for two postgraduate programmes in FAS ie. Master of Philosophy and PhD (Social Science) in December 2014.
  • FAS is arranging for the first visit for the Mphil and PhD programme audit in June 2015.
  • We are discussing with him to initiate a proposal for FRGS application. This discussion will be carried out in a face-to-face meeting in June 2015.

  • Prof Prabha mentioned FAS' 1st International Conference on Behavioral and Social Science Research 2012 (ICBSSR 2012)in the March 2015 issue of The Social Science Journal (SSCI Indexed, Elsevier) published by the Western Social Science Association (WSSA) which Prof Prabha is President (Please see attachment below). Selected papers presented in ICBSSR 2012 were invited for submussion in the journal. Papers from FAS staff and ICBSSR conference participants were published in the March 2015 issue.

  • Prof Prabha edited a special South East Asia edition of The Social Science Journal (SSCI indexed, Science Direct/Elsevier) published by the Western Social Science Association. Selected papers from the FAS' 1st International Conference of Behavioral and Social Science Research (ICBSSR) 2012 were published. UTAR and ICBSSR were mentioned in the Editor's write up.
