  • Prof. Huang is co-author of a paper accepted for publication in Stem Cell Research & Therapy (IF 4.221, Q1). Title of the paper: miR-524-5p of the primate-specific C19MC miRNA cluster targets TP53IPN1 and EMT-associated genes to regulate cellular reprogramming
  • Prof. Huang is the co-author of another manuscript submitted to Stem Cell Research & Therapy, pending a decision by the editorial office. The title of the manuscript: miR-20-5p and miR-106-5p of the microRNA-17 family regulate the G1 to S phase transition of the cell cycle in oxidative stress-induced premature senescence mesenchymal stem cells.
  • Prof. Huang paid her annual visit to CSCR, UTAR 4. Prof. Huang was the co-chairperson of the organising committee and lecturer/facilitator of the UTAR MicroRNA Worshop 2017, organised by CSCR held on 4-6 September, 2017, in the FMHS Res Lab, Sg Long campus.

  • Prof. Huang will be the corresponding author of a manuscript in the final stage of preparation to be submitted to Stem Cell Research & Therapy shortly. Title of the manuscript: miR-20-5p and miR-106-5p of the microRNA-17 family regulate the G1 to S phase transition of the cell cycle in oxidative stress-induced premature senescence mesenchymal stem cells.
  • Prof. Huang will be the co-author of another manuscript in the final stage of preparation to be submitted to Stem Cell Research & Therapy by end of March.   • Prof. Choo, Chairperson of CSCR, visted Prof. Huang in Taiwan to discuss continuing research and to extend an invitation to her to be an instructor in the coming microRNA Workshop to be conducted in 4-6 September in UTAR organised by CSCR. Prof. Huang has agreed.
  • Prof. Huang met with the UTAR-National Yang Ming Uni (NYMU) (Taiwan) dual master degree student, Ms Cheng Han Ping, and a Master graduate, Ms Michele Hiew, also from CSCR-UTAR, who was also arriving in Taiwan to do her PhD degree in Chang Gung Uni. She has been helping the students to settle down.
