Vacancy: Research Assistant for Mobile Cloud and Software Defined Networking

A vacancy for a full time Research Assistant, supported by research funding from a joint UTAR-Saudi Arabia collaboration, is available for qualified applicants. The project aims to explore Mobile Clouds and Software Defined Networks by enhancing existing cloud and SDN systems. Applicants with a good Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications/Microwave Engineering or related fields are encouraged to apply. Applicants are expected to have good programming ability and desire to work on the Linux platform. The successful applicant shall be paid a stipend of RM 2,500 per month and has the opportunity to study Master degree (by research on this topic) at the same time. The project shall be based in UTAR campus in KL/Klang Valley.

Vacancy: Research Assistant for Antarctica Research Project

A vacancy for a full time Research Assistant, supported by research funding from the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (under the Malaysian Antarctica Research Programme), to work under the project “Model Development and Application of Microwave Remote Sensing in the Antarctica” is available for application. The project aims to study and develop theoretical model and application to monitor and evaluate the conditions of Antarctica continent and Southern Ocean through microwave remote sensing and satellite images for global climate change study. This project may involve visits to Antarctica for scientific research field work. Applicants with a good Bachelor Degree (preferably, second upper class (or CGPA 3.00) and above) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications/Microwave Engineering or related fields are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant shall be paid a stipend of RM 2,000 per month and has the opportunity to study Master degree (by research on this topic) at the same time. The project shall be based in UTAR campus in KL/Klang Valley.
